Arsenal told they need to pay £52m for Lacazette
According to a report from French outlet L’Equipe, as cited by Get French Football News, Arsenal have been given a valuation of £52 million by Lyon for striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The report states that Arsenal have made an offer of around €50m for the Frenchman but his current employer are standing firm on their asking price of €60m (£52m).
Lacazette was all but an Atletico Madrid player a few weeks ago, as the club met Lyon’s asking price for the 26-year-old, but the Spanish club’s transfer ban was not lifted.
It’s understood that Arsene Wenger met Lyon’s president Jean-Michael Aulas during the France vs England friendly earlier this month, and Gunners boss expressed his desire to sign the striker.
The two clubs are set to meet next weekend to try and reach an agreement on a transfer fee. L’Equipe’s report even goes on to say that right now, Arsenal are Lacazette’s preferred destination.
