Arsenal looking to sign England U20 World Cup winner, face competition from Tottenham
Rob Holding has been a remarkable success following his under-the-radar move fro Bolton last summer, and Arsenal are considering another move for a talented young centre-back plying their trade in the Football League.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal are going head-to-head with rivals Tottenham for the signature of highly-rated Charlton defender Ezri Konsa.
The 19-year-old has come through the ranks at The Valley and established himself as a regular in the first-team for the League One side last season, making 39 appearances across all competitions.
Konsa was named in the England U20 squad earlier this summer that won the U20 World Cup and has a bright future ahead of him.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham want to sign the centre-back, but the teenager can also operate at right-back or in a holding midfield role.
Having signed a contract extension back in March running until 2020, Konsa won’t be leaving Charlton on the cheap.
