For a number of years now, many have critiqued Arsenal for not having a top-quality centre-forward leading their attack to spearhead them back into the Premier League title race.

Arsenal have been chasing Alexandre Lacazette for some time now but Ligue 1 side Lyon have been adamant that they will not sell their star striker.

Lacazette himself has stated that he will be leaving Lyon this summer and the Gunners are hoping to be the ones to land him after a proposed move to Atletico Madrid fell through after they were handed a transfer ban.

Club president Jean-Michel Aulas has spoken out about Lacazette and revealed that the club have received a nice offer from Arsenal for the Frenchman (h/t Sport Witness).

With the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud uncertain to say the least, the Gunners need to be active in the market to find potential replacements and there aren’t many better around than Lacazette that are on the market. Liverpool have also been linked with Lacazette this summer.
