After just one season in North London, Spanish striker Lucas Perez looks set to leave Arsenal on loan to former club Deportivo de La Coruña, according to Spanish news outlet La Voz de Galicia.

Perez moved from Deportivo to Arsenal last summer for a £17 million fee on a 4 year contract after playing a massive role in saving the Galician club from relegation with an outstanding league output of 17 goals and eight assists.

However, he has not been afforded the chance to do the same in Premier League after being given only 11 appearances with nice of them being from the substitutes bench.

The striker has shown that he can score when given proper minutes on the pitch as seven of his eight goals in all competitions this season have come from when he has started the game, including a Champions Leaguhat-trickck in a 4 – 1 victory against FC Basel.

Perez is currently out with the thigh injury he suffered in March and is unlikely to appear in Arsenal’s upcoming FA cup semi-final against Manchester City, but he is expected to return by the end of the season.

With Deportivo sitting on a comfortable 9 point lead above the relegation zone in La Liga, it looks set for the Spanish club to remain in La Liga and be an optimal place for Perez to get regular playing time.
