Arsenal trio could leave with contract talks yet to open
Arsenal trio, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs could all leave the club with the Gunners yet to open contract talks with them.
According to a report from the London Evening Standard, Arsene Wenger’s side have prioritised dealing with current player’s contracts during the January transfer window, rather than looking to bring in new players.
Over the course of the last few weeks, new contracts have been handed to Francis Coquelin, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny. Per Mertesacker is also thought to be close to agreeing on new terms with the club.
Wilshere is currently on a season-long loan at Bournemouth, where has impressed for the Cherries, who look set for another year in the Premier League.
Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gibbs have also found it difficult to break into the side this season.
Wenger is believed to want the trio to remain at the club but with chances limited in the current first-team squad for all of the three players, a move away may be the best option for their respective careers.
