Arsenal team news: Sunderland (A)
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal have been hit with two injury blows ahead of their trip to Sunderland this weekend with Santi Cazorla and Lucas Perez both being ruled out.
The Gunners travel to the Stadium of Light looking to keep their good form going against the struggling Black Cats but if they are to get another three points on the board, they will have to do it without their creative Spanish duo.
Cazorla will miss the game up in Wearside as he is still not yet fit to play full first-team football after picking up a knock against Ludogorets in the Champions League a couple of weeks ago.
Despite being back in training with the squad, the experienced Spanish international has not been deemed as match fit to take on Sunderland.
His compatriot Perez is also out of action due to sustaining an ankle injury that is set to keep him out on the sidelines for a considerable amount of time.
The full extent of the injury and duration of time that the former Deportivo man will be out for are still unknown, but he apparently suffered a nasty injury to his ankle ligaments against Reading as Arsenal beat the Championship side 2-0 in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
On the positive side, Aaron Ramsey is back in training and could feature.
