Following the conclusion of the transfer window, Arsenal now have twelve players playing for other clubs abroad.

In somewhat a surprise to many Arsenal fans, Jack Wilshere joined Bournemouth on loan for the season. Although it was a surprise to see him leave for the season, the move does make sense. Wilshere needs game time and has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal.

The other high-profile name to leave Arsenal on loan, was Joel Campbell. While it was thought that Arsene Wenger might keep Campbell, the Costa Rican was sent out on loan to Sporting Lisbon.

Calum Chambers also was sent on loan to Middlesbrough in order to gain game time, especially as it seems Rob Holding is the preferred choice ahead of him.

So with twelve players out on loan and most teams returning to action post the international break, let’s have a look at how the players got on.
