Mustafi and Perez pass medicals, signings all but done
Shortly after Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Watford, their first of the season, the club had some more good news for their fans. According to ESPFC.com, Arsene Wenger revealed that both Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have passed their respective medicals.

Wenger added to Sky Sports: “We have bought two players — Mustafi and Perez. They will integrate into the team now and we will help them join the squad.
“We had to work very hard to get the signings done. We have not got any plans for anyone else now.”
Unless something unforeseen comes up, both players should be available after the international break and provide the depth Arsenal fans have been clamoring for since the start of the campaign.
The arrival of Mustafi was an utmost priority with both Per Mertesacker and Gabriel out for a significant amount of time. Wenger will pair the German international with Laurent Koscielny which should be a rock-solid duo, in front of Petr Cech. He has been getting by starting 20-year old Rob Holding, who has held his own.
As for Perez, who arrives from Deportivo after scoring a career-high 17 goals in La Liga last season. His skill set is the opposite of Olivier Giroud’s since Perez rely more on his speed and change of pace, which gives Wenger another attacking option, especially once Giroud goes through his usual midseason goal drought.
