Arsenal still tracking Kostas Manolas
Arsenal continued their search for a centre-back last night. The London club was present at Roma’s Champions League qualifier against Porto to watch defender, Kostas Manolas, according to the Daily Mail – while on loan ‘keeper Szczesny also played.
The Greece international has been tracked by Arsenal for some time now. Arsenal had targeted Manolas before he made his move to Roma from Olympiacos a few years ago, and once again registered an interest in the defender earlier this summer.
It seems Arsenal are becoming increasingly desperate and are daily linked with a new defender. Recently Arsenal have been linked with Monaco defender Marcel Tisserand, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones following their negotiations with Valencia defender, Shkodran Mustafi, breaking down. Leicester City are also in the hunt for Tisserand, while Man Utd have told Jones that his future lies at the Manchester club.
If Arsenal do indeed sign a defender, it also reported that they will send a defender out on loan, as reported by David Jones of Sky Sports.

With only a week left in the window, Arsenal need to work fast.
