Having secured Granit Xhaka, Arsene Wenger is keen to address some other key areas in the squad.
Recently, Arsenal have been heavily linked with a new striker, namely Alvaro Morata. Another position also in need of addressing, is at centre-back. According to the Telegraph, Arsenal will now switch their attention to Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly.
The 24-year-old Senegalese international, has been outstanding for Napoli this season. Koulibaly was signed from Belgian side, Genk in 2014 and suffered a somewhat mixed first season in Serie A. With the introduction of new coach, Maurizio Sarri, however, Koulibaly’s performances have greatly improved.

With Koulibaly in defence, Napoli went on to challenge Juventus for the title, all whilst having one of the best defensive records in Italy.
Per Mertesacker has become somewhat of a liability in defence – mainly due to his lack of pace. Gabriel likewise, has struggled to adapt to the Premier League, and has had a very mixed season. Laurent Koscielny is the only real reliable centre-back Arsenal have, and he is entering the twilight of his career.
Koulibaly was one of the best centre-backs in Italy last season; Arsenal would be wise to go all out and sign him.
