After signing from Southampton at the age of 16, it’s safe to say Theo Walcott’s career has not scaled the heights many thought it would.
The England winger has shown brief flashes of potential, but after being at the club for almost 10 years, potential is a word that you can’t attach to a 27-year-old seasoned England international. Moreover, with emergence of Alex Iwobi, Walcott no longer has a guaranteed place in Arsenal’s starting XI.
Due to his lack of game time, it has prompted many to report that Theo Walcott could look to leave Arsenal in the summer. Most recently, The Daily Mail has reported that West Ham are preparing a bid for the England international.

Slaven Bilic has guided West Ham to an excellent season. Although it is the club’s last season at Upton Park, it is has been a season of superb performances, and should be an excellent send off as the club move to the Olympic Stadium next season.
Due to West Ham’s increasing ambitions, Bilic and the owners are looking to build on an already successful club. Thus, Bilic has earmarked Walcott as a player who could give much pace and dynamism to West Ham’s attack. Moreover, Walcott would likely get more game time, seemingly making this move a wise option for all concerned.
