Arsenal took Barcelona on at the Camp Nou and despite a valiant effort, crashed out of the UEFA Champions League by three goals to one.

It was a good start from the visitors who ran their socks into the ground and perhaps should have scored after creating a number of early chances.

The home side had their fair share of efforts at goal too however, with David Ospina saving wonderfully well from a close range Lionel Messi effort.

Neymar’s first half strike put the home side ahead, with his left foot effort going beyond goalkeeper Ospina, right back Hector Bellerin should have been much better positioned for the goal.

The Spanish side went in 1-0 leaders at the break but it was Arsenal who would strike next through Mohamed Elneny, bagging his first ever goal for the club impressively with the inside of his foot.

Barca regained control of the game however, with Luis Suarez scoring an unbelievable volley to put them back in command. Lionel Messi then sealed the result late on with a deft chip.

It was a valiant effort from the north London side but it just wasn’t enough against the excellent Barcelona, how did the players rate?
