Arsenal trained at London Colney on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their crunch Premier League fixture against Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Gunners are to face the Welsh side knowing that anything but a win could see them fall even further behind north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, as well as league leaders Leicester City, currently five points ahead.

After disappointment on Sunday afternoon at the hands of Manchester United, Gabriel Paulista and Danny Welbeck seemingly missed out on training ahead of the game against Francesco Guidolin’s relegation battling side.

Youngsters Serge Gnabry and Jeff Reine-Adelaide were once again involved, with the German winger returning from his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion earlier this year.

The likes of Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Francis Coquelin and Per Mertesacker all trained at London Colney, while Mohamed Elneny was also involved as he pushes for a first Premier League start.

Whether Gabriel and Welbeck will miss out on Wednesday’s squad is yet to be seen, with Arsene Wenger often allowing players to miss training the day before a game in order to rehabilitate and rest.

With a packed schedule including a trip to White Hart Lane on Saturday and an FA Cup fifth round replay in Yorkshire just days later to consider, the Frenchman will be expected to utilise the depth of his squad.
