Arsenal summer transfer plan including budget and targets revealed

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to be handed a £75m budget to strengthen his side in the coming summer.

The Frenchman is set to enter the final year of his contract as manager of the north London club and will be given the full backing of the board to strengthen and improve in order to challenge on all fronts.

Arsenal have failed to capture consistency this season and fans of the club have grown frustrated with the lack of spending, with just Mohamed Elneny and Petr Cech added in the last two transfer windows for a combined fee believed to be in the region of £15m.

According to the Telegraph, left back Ben Chilwell of Leicester City, a central defender, a central midfielder and potentially a striker will all be made priority, as well as offering huge contracts to the club’s two most expensive ever players in Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

The likes of Mathieu Debuchy, Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky are all expected to leave the club and take a huge weight off the club’s wages, leaving Wenger with room in the squad to work with.
