Arsene Wenger is looking at signing Newcastle’s under-20 England international Rolando Aarons, with his current deal at the north East club due to expire in the summer.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal are just one of a number of clubs taking in an interest in the youngster, with the likes of Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan considering moves for the winger.
Aarons broke into the Newcastle team last season, making his debut against Manchester City from the bench. He scored his first goal for the Magpies in a 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace, in a game where he also assisted Mike Williamson. He has been hampered with injuries since then, with the winger suffering multiple hamstring injuries.
Aarons isn’t the only player from the north East that Arsenal are keeping track of, however, with Arsene Wenger also taking an interest in Freddie Woodman. Clubcall claim that Wenger is also taking a look at the young ‘keeper , whose contract is also expiring in the summer.
Arsenal will have competition for him, however, with Liverpool and Tottenham also showing an interest in the England under-19 player.
