Leicester youngster Ben Chilwell will not be moving to Arsenal in this transfer window, according to Charlie Phillipe of the Express.
The 19-year-old Englishman was previously on loan to Huddersfield Town and looks set to rejoin the Championship side until the end of the season.
Perhaps looking to the future now Monreal is approaching his 30’s, Arsene Wenger reportedly made two bids for the player, which were successively rejected.
Having played eight games for Huddersfield Town during the opening period of the season and sufficiently impressed, he was handed a rare start for his parent club against Tottenham in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, impressing in the 2-2 draw.

However, with Leicester in a fantastic position, Chilwell is unlikely to be given game time ahead of experienced international’s Christian Fuchs and the returning Jeffrey Schlupp.
However, it seems Claudio Ranieri has his eye on the defender for his future plans as he is set to offer him a new £1,200-per-week contract, perhaps ending interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Chilwell has also broken onto the national scene, having been capped for England’s youth teams up to under-20 level, and it seems Arsenal will need to wait until at least the summer window to refresh their interest.
