Arsenal have agreed a hefty fee of £23 million with Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kiev over winger Andriy Yarmolenko, with a late January move still in the offing, according to the Evening Standard.
The Ukraine international has been grabbing headlines for the last couple of years thanks to outstanding performances for his club, but mainly his country, as he helped them to superbly qualify for this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France.
However, despite Yarmolenko’s exceptional performances throughout the last couple of years, a big club such as Arsenal have never possessed concrete interest in him, until now that is.
A move for the tricky winger was fairly unexpected on Arsenal’s part after it was believed that the signing of Mohamed Elneny was to be the only new face in the door at the Emirates in this window, however, the deal for Yarmolenko could be taking place sooner rather than later.
The only club that has had concrete interest in the 26-year-old has been fellow Premier League rivals, Everton. However, with a fee as large as £23 million being offered by the Gunners, it looks as though they are clear front-runners for the Ukraine international’s services.
