Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to be offered a brand new five-year contract, according to the Football Insider.
The England international has had a torrid Arsenal career thus far, which has been made a stop-start one because of injury issues.
Wilshere’s current contract ends in the summer of 2018, but Arsene Wenger does not want to take any risks in potentially allowing the 24-year-old to leave the club.

The new deal will reportedly run until the summer of 2021 and will see his current wage of £90,000-per-week rise to £110,000.
If Wilshere agrees the new deal, he will be behind only Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott in terms of the best paid Arsenal stars, with the German the highest of the bunch.
Wilshere has been a reported long-term target of both Manchester United and City, but the new deal will go some way in putting off any interest in the player.

The 24-year-old will earn £31.5m over a five-and-a-half-year period, should he agree the new contract with the club.
