Arsenal took Sunderland on in the FA Cup third round at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After a solid start from the home side, it was the visitors who took the lead, with a pass from Kieran Gibbs putting Laurent Koscielny under pressure. In a situation where the Frenchman should have cleared the ball, he attempted to sort his feet out and control the ball, but was dispossessed by Jermaine Lens, who made no mistake in striking the ball beyond Petr Cech.

The Gunners equalised soon after, however, with Theo Walcott’s ball from the left-hand side finding Joel Campbell and the Costa Rican made no mistake in finishing first time.

It took an Aaron Ramsey substitution for the home side to take the lead in the second period. Hector Bellerin’s wonderful one-two with Joel Campbell found him in space, before playing it low across goal into the Welshman’s path, who finished unmarked.

It was again Bellerin who created the third, after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s pass found him in space, before the Spaniard passed it across goal and into the path of Olivier Giroud.

How did the players rate?
