Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger spoke to the media on Thursday morning ahead of his side’s fixture against Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

Amongst the topics discussed by the Frenchman were Leicester City and Manchester United – the two teams at the top of the Premier League table. Claudio Ranieri’s side meet Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils this weekend at Old Trafford, with Jamie Vardy looking to break the record for most games consecutively scored in with 11, a record previously set by Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Wenger believes it will be an exciting game in which United will dominate.

It will be quite interesting because Leicester are a team who have no pressure and they play with no pressure and quality. It’s a very explosive team, especially on the flanks. When they win the ball, they come out on fire in a very explosive way. At the start of the game, Man United will have the possession and Leicester will be the team that can create havoc on the counter-attack. It’s very hard to predict.

The Arsenal manager then moved on to discuss his own side, claiming that the loss against West Bromwich Albion was nothing more than a slip-up.

We trust the way we play. We have a desire to play our game and we find good offensive talent with defensive efficiency. [Against] West Brom it is true we had a bad result but it was very unfortunate to lose this game, [and] we have shown that with a good and quick response on Tuesday night. on upcoming games and a key period… We just played West Brom. It’s what I said the other day – in our league it’s not who you play, it’s how you play and we have to focus on that.

After Francis Coquelin went down injured against West Brom last weekend, questions have been raised about potential signings in January – and Wenger admitted that the Gunners have the capabilities to sign, if they find the right talent.

We are in a position where we want to do something. If I find the right quality I will do something.
